New books about Camden’s History Available

The Camden Archives now how two books about Camden’s rich and interesting history fresh off the printing press and is ready for sale!

2018 BICENTENNIAL BOOK – $20The 104-page book was researched, written and printed by our friends at the Camden Archives. and is photograph-driven, mostly color photos accompanied by researched text. It focuses on Camden’s history–particularly businesses– in the time since the Sesquicentennial Booklet was printed in 1968. The book took a lot of time and work, but was a “labor of love” for the women at the Archives. Click here to view just a few pages from the book…to get you started.

Also available is the Restaurants, Hotels, Taverns and Boarding Houses of Camden book.

The Bicentennial Book and the History of Camden’s Restaurants, Bars and Taverns can be purchased at the Camden Archives (hours below) or the Village offices in the Town Hall and at the Camden Public Library.  They will also have books for sale at the September 1 Bicentennial Celebration and the Black Walnut Festival.
