CAMDEN VILLAGE COUNCIL – REGULAR
THURSDAY, AUGUST 16, 2018

Mayor:  Lisa Moss
Fiscal Officer:  Rebecca Wilson (absent)
Village Administrator:  Rusty Wilson (absent)
Council:  Kelly Doran, Debbie Hickman, Ernest Crabtree, Toni Keesler, Judy Michael and Wendell Mackie
Guests:  Ed Steiner, Melissa Shull, David White, Jo Shiverdecker, Tommy Hicks, Dennis Davis and David Rader

The meeting began with the Pledge of Allegiance at 7:00 p.m.  A motion and second was made to approve the minutes of the August 16, 2018 meeting as written.    Roll call was all yea.

Public Participation:  David White addressed Council giving an update on his progress at 90 South Second Street.  He may have more work than he can handle and he needs the truck in his yard to work on his house.  Ed Steiner addressed Council asking for children at play signs in the subdivision.  Melissa Shull addressed Council and stated since the Village Administrator was on vacation she wanted it on record that she was giving papers to the Mayor from the Eaton Courts regarding extension time for the property at 154 South Main Street.  Jo Shiverdecker addressed Council asking who the owner of 107 East Central was because she may want to purchase it.  She also asked if the Village had a way of doing something with the back taxes on it.

Committee/Staff Reports:  Ernest read the Administrator report for Council.  Chief Spurlock asked for a pay raise for Officer Young from $12.25/hr. to $14.00/hr. effective August 18, 2018.  A motion and second were made to approve this request.  Roll call was all yea.

Old Business:  The bell tower was discussed and the charges for the electrician to hook it up.  An amount of $3700.00 was given.  A motion and second was made to have the work performed.  Roll call was all yea.

New Business:  Council discussed Trick or Treat night and a date of October 30th from 6-8 was decided.

A motion and second was made to approve the purchase orders.  Roll call was all yea.  A motion and second was made to approve the bills.  Roll call was all yea.  A motion and second was made to approve the July Financial Statement.  Roll call was all yea.

A motion and second to adjourn was done at 7:32 p.m.  Roll call was all yea.
